She also provided advice to various other units of the business. While at Citigroup, Ms. Alpert tried roughly 100 arbitration cases to decision. She provided counsel to Citigroup in approximately 25 meditations and informally negotiated settlements in hundreds of other matters.

Ms. Alpert became an arbitrator with FINRA (Financial Regulatory Authority, formerly known as NASD Dispute Resolution) in January 1991. Since then, FINRA assigned her to arbitrate over 25 matters, 16 of which continued to a full and final hearing on the merits. In addition to the extensive in-house training which she received at Citigroup, Ms. Alpert received approximately 20 hours of arbitration training through either FINRA or other outside providers. Between January 1996 and the present, Ms. Alpert received at least 80 hours of mediation training from a variety of sources including the N.Y.C. Bar Association and Westchester Mediation Center of Cluster, Inc. Ms. Alpert continues to update her mediation and arbitration skills and knowledge through continuing legal education courses, readings, and online resources.
